Composer Note:
One day at the local bookstore as I was looking for text to set to music, I came across the poetry of Nick Flynn, specifically the poem Imagination that moved me. It had a rhythm that immediately translated into music. After setting it to music I had the idea that this song can evolve into a bigger project. And it did indeed: a year later we premiered Proteus that included Imagination as one of the movements.
