Killdeer at They, Who Sound

KILLDEER is coming to Houston! Presented by experimental music series They, Who Sound, Guy Barash and Nick Flynn will perform new tunes alongside a performance by Lena Gonzalez Melinger and Rachel Hulsey.

KILLDEER, the bird (charadrius vociferous), pretends to be hurt (the “broken wing act”), to lure predators away from its nest. KILLDEER, the band (charadrius mutarous), manifests in various incarnations—on any given night players include Nick Flynn (words), Guy Barash (electronics), Simi Stone (violin / vocals), & Philip Marshall (guitar / vocals). Each manifestation has its own sound, from punk / folk to ambient noise.
