KILLDEER, the bird (charadrius vociferous), pretends to be hurt (the “broken wing act”), to lure predators away from its nest. KILLDEER, the band (charadrius mutarous), manifests in various incarnations—on any given night players include Nick Flynn (words), Guy Barash (synth), Simi Stone (violin / vocals), & Philip Marshall (guitar / vocals). Each manifestation has its own sound, from punk / folk to ambient noise.
